Nan Zhao


Dr. Nan Zhao is an Associate Research Scientist at the Institute for NanoBioTechnology in the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. Dr. Zhao’s research is focused on developing tissueengineered blood vessels for modeling and treating human diseases. He has a broad background in biomaterials and tissueengineering with specific training and expertise in hydrogel materials and vascular engineering. Dr. Zhao received his Ph.D degree in biomedical engineering from Penn State University in 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he did his postdoctoral training in Peter Searson’s lab.
