Student Spotlight: Eugenia Volkova

Meet Eugenia Volkova, PhD candidate at the INBT and the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in the Whiting School of Engineering. This Hopkins engineer is studying cancer metastasis and sarcoma. With the help of her mentors, Sharon Gerecht and Zhiyong Xia, Eugenia is looking at how changes in the extracellular matrix in cancer cells impact cancer metastasis.
