Warren L. Grayson, professor and vice chair for faculty affairs in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and associate researcher for the Institute for NanoBioTechnology, focuses on addressing the challenges associated with engineering functional craniofacial and orthopedic constructs for use in therapeutic applications. In the Grayson Lab for Craniofacial & Orthopaedic Tissue Engineering, he and his team are developing innovative methods using stem cells to create patient-specific grafts with the necessary biological and mechanical characteristics to facilitate functional in vivo integration.

He received a BS in chemical and processing engineering at the University of the West Indies in 1998 and a PhD in biomedical engineering at Florida State University in 2005. He did his postdoctoral work in biomedical engineering at Columbia University.

He is a member of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows.
