Nan Zhao

Nan Zhao is an Associate Research Scientist at the Institute for NanoBioTechnology in the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. Zhao’s research is focused on developing tissue–engineered blood vessels for modeling and treating human diseases. He has a broad background in biomaterials and tissue–engineering with specific training and expertise in hydrogel materials and vascular engineering. Zhao received his Ph.D degree in biomedical engineering from Penn State University in 2019 and completed postdoc training in 2022 under the mentorship of Peter Searson, INBT co-founder and core researcher, and professor of materials science and engineering.
