Meet Eugenia Volkova, PhD candidate at the INBT and the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department in the Whiting School of Engineering. This Hopkins engineer and PS-OC researcher is studying cancer metastasis and sarcoma. With the help of her mentors, Sharon Gerecht and Zhiyong Xia, Eugenia is looking at how changes in the extracellular matrix in cancer cells impact cancer metastasis.
