PS-OC Hosts Women Researchers Roundtable
The Physical Sciences-Oncology Center, housed at the Institute for NanoBioTechnology, hosted a Women Researchers Round Table. Following the Women in Cancer Research Mini Seminar Series, a group discussion with female graduate students was lead by successful PS-OC researchers Karin Eisinger and Sharon Gerecht. Eisinger and Gerecht answered questions and provided advice on career, research, and life challenges. Some of the topics discussed included work-life balance, setting boundaries with laboratory co-workers, mentoring new students, how to navigate different, and sometimes opposing, personalities in the research environment, and building a network of support.
