\nStephanie Lux – 2019<\/a><\/span>
\nSydney Connor – 2018<\/a><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]Mikaela Mallin<\/a><\/span> – \u00a0Mikaela is studying the migratory potential of poly-aneuploid cancer cells. \u00a0She wants to see if PACCs can move further or faster throughout a patient\u2019s body than normal cancer cells.<\/p>\n

Laurie Kostecka<\/a> <\/span>– Laurie is interested in studying poly-aneuploid cancer cells (PACCs) metabolism and trying to find targets to kill them.<\/p>\n

In\u00eas Godet<\/a><\/span> – In\u00eas is interested in how hypoxia, a low or inadequate amount oxygen, in tumors affects breast cancer metastasis. She\u00a0and her team think that the hypoxic environment in tumors may be conditioning cancer cells to survive metastasis.<\/p>\n

Eugenia Volkova<\/a><\/span> – Eugenia is studying cancer metastasis and sarcoma. She is looking at how changes in the extracellular matrix in cancer cells impact cancer metastasis.<\/p>\n

Adrian Johnston<\/span><\/a> – Adrian studies how the human body uses the immune system to fight cancer. He is trying to identify mutations in the immune system that prevents it from fighting cancer, and how to how to fix it.<\/p>\n

Hasini Jayatilaka<\/span> <\/a>– (Alum) – Hasini studied the mechanisms that causes cancer cell metastasis.
