Extended deadline Thursday, May 14. Register Now

Where and when is the poster session?

The poster session is located in Turner Concourse and begins promptly at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 18.

POSTERS MUST BE SET UP BY 1:15 p.m.

How big should my poster be?

The finished dimensions of your poster should be NO LARGER THAN
3’ by 3’. Please bring pins (straight pins and T-pins work best) with which to hang your poster. You will be assigned a location number for your poster and a map of Turner Concourse showing you where your poster should be placed (available on site).

Which research topics are appropriate for presentation at the poster session?

Since nanobiotechnology is a multidisciplinary field, research from medicine, engineering, public health and the basic sciences are all relevant topics for presentation at this symposium. Although the overarching theme of the symposium is “Nanoscience for Neuroscience and Neurosurgery,” one need not be conducting research these specific areas to submit a poster for approval. You will be contacted by INBT regarding your poster if it is determined NOT to be appropriate for presentation.

What should I expect during the poster session?

ALL posters must be in place by 1:15 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009. Judging will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m. You will be assigned to stand by your poster to answer questions during either the A session (1:30-2:30 p.m.) or the B session (2:30-3:30 p.m.). You, or a representative from your research group, must stand by your poster during your assigned time. If someone is not representing your research when the judges come by, you will be disqualified from judging. We try to provide exciting prizes for our poster session participants, and we know you will not want to miss out! During the session in which you are not required to stand by your poster, you may move around and visit other presenter’s posters.

What I if want to display an industry poster?

Please follow the guidelines for poster submission listed above. Your posters will not be judged for prizes, however, you may hand out literature, business cards or promotional items from your display area. No tables or electricity will be provided or permitted in the poster display area. Please keep the areas around your display clear for traffic.
Note: All posters are subject to approval by INBT.
