General Poster Guidelines for 2008 NanoBio Symposium

Prizes for best posters
Student poster entries will be judged. Available prizes for best posters include;
- 2x Ipod Nano
- A two year subscription to Nature Nanotechnology
- One year subscription to Nature Nanotechnology
- Nanoparticles in Biomedical Imaging by by Jeff W.M. Bulte and Mike M.J. Modo
Poster dimensions
Display boards are 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall and are designed to fit two posters side-by-side, two on the front and two on the back. Therefore, the finished horizontal dimension of your poster should be no wider than 4 feet. The finished vertical dimension of your poster should be no taller than 4 feet. Please bring a sufficient number of pins (straight pins, T-pins or tacks) with which to hang your poster. You will be assigned a location number for your poster and will be provided with a map showing you where your poster is to be located. Please bring this information with you on the day of the symposium.
Poster set up
Ideally, posters should be set up in the morning between 8 and 8:45 a.m. The speaker series begins at 9 a.m. However, ALL posters must be in place by 1:45 p.m. prior to the start of the poster session. Someone, from your research group should stand by your poster and be available to answer questions until the close of the session at 4:30 p.m., so please plan accordingly.

For industry and government poster displays
You are welcome to hand out literature or promotional items from your display area. However, no tables or electricity will be provided or permitted in the poster display area. Please keep the areas around your display clear for traffic.
