Mountcastle Auditorium is on the first floor of the Preclinical Teaching Building (PCTB), located behind the Welch Medical Library. Enter through the main entrance to the PCTB, cross the lobby from the guard's desk towards the left. The auditorium is located on the left, opposite the cafeteria. You must show your ID at the guard’s station.

Turner Concourse
(Lower Level of Turner Auditorium)

Turner Concourse is located on the lower level of Turner Auditorium in the Turner Building, about two blocks west of the Preclinical Teaching Building. You will need to show your ID badge at the guard’s station at the Ross Building. Cross the courtyard, enter the Turner Building, and walk downstairs to Turner Concourse.

Driving Directions and Parking Information

Note: If possible, INBT recommends you use other forms of transportation to visit the Johns Hopkins medical campus. (See alternative modes of travel listed below.) The medical campus is large enough that it may take 10-15 minutes to walk from the parking garage to your destination. Please plan accordingly. Parking is limited on the medical school campus, so please arrive early to ensure a space. The closest visitor parking to symposium venues is the N. Washington St. garage. Currently, rates are $10 a day.

From the North

Follow I-83 south (Jones Falls Expressway) to exit 3 (Guilford Avenue). Turn left at the third traffic light (Centre Street). Proceed through the traffic light (at Fallsway) and bear to the right onto Monument Street. Continue driving east on Monument Street to the East Baltimore campus toward the N. Washington St. garage, located adjacent to the library on the right.

From the South

Follow I-95 north to I-395 north. Continue northbound on I-395 until you reach Pratt Street. Turn right onto Pratt Street. Continue driving east until you reach Broadway. Turn left on Broadway. Continue on Broadway past Orleans Street and the original entrance to Johns Hopkins Hospital until you reach Monument Street. Continue driving east on Monument Street toward the N. Washington St. garage, located adjacent to the library on the right.

From the East

Follow Eastern Avenue into Baltimore City until you reach Broadway, located in heart of historic Fell's Point. Continue on Broadway past Orleans Street and the original entrance to Johns Hopkins Hospital until you reach Monument Street. Turn right on Monument Street. Continue driving east on Monument Street toward the N. Washington St. garage, located adjacent to the library on the right.

From the West

Follow US Route 40 through Baltimore City until you reach Broadway. Turn left on Broadway. Continue on Broadway past Orleans Street and the original entrance to Johns Hopkins Hospital until you reach Monument Street. Turn right on Monument Street. Continue driving east on Monument Street toward the N. Washington St. garage, located adjacent to the library on the right.

OTHER MODES OF TRAVEL & LODGING

Johns Hopkins Shuttle

JHU affiliates are encouraged to take the Homewood-JHMI shuttle, which departs from the St. Paul Street side of the JHU Barnes and Noble Bookstore at Homewood and makes two stops at the medical campus. The second shuttle stop is in front of the School of Public Health at the corner of Wolfe and E. Monument streets, across the street from the Preclinical Teaching Building.

Baltimore Metro

The metro has its last stop on the Johns Hopkins medical campus. Exit the train and follow the signs that say “To street and buses.” You will emerge at the corner of E. Monument and N. Broadway. Cross Broadway and continue east on Monument St., until you reach the Preclinical Teaching Building on the right at the corner of N. Wolfe St.
