Outreach – An important mission of the Johns Hopkins Institute for NanoBioTechnology is to provide educational outreach to various communities. This includes everyone, from the general public to pre-college students to undergraduates, graduates and postdoctoral fellows, and our colleagues in government and industry. We engage faculty, students and staff in some level of outreach throughout the year.
INBT is constantly developing opportunities for outreach, whether it be through the participation of faculty, undergraduates, graduates, or postdoctoral fellows. Our outreach activities have included the following:
- Annual Nano-Bio Symposium
- Professional Development Seminars
- Student-run Mini-symposiums
- Summer Academic Research Experience (S.A.R.E) – Supporting high school research programs
